AN award-winning singer and her band are coming to nine Yorkshire villages this month.
With a voice likened to Eva Cassidy and Dinah Washington, Sheena Davis will perform a selection of classic jazz and show songs as part of her nationwide tour.
With her dynamic stage presence, she hopes to impress the audiences with her renditions of songs by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Doris Day and Dean Martin blended with material by Carole King, Ray Charles and Madness.
Formerly the lead singer with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, in 2001 Sheena won the British Gas Tomorrow's People Award, and this year has been included in the "Who's Who Of British Jazz".
The tour starts at Kilburn Hall on Monday, October 13, at 7.30pm with £5 tickets available by calling (01347) 868517.
