Newfit Services Willington: Sunnybrow Brown Trout, the current league leaders, went down to their second defeat of the season when they visited Willington Club and lost in the deciding team game.
The singles were shared with Joe Blakey, Joe Davies and Scott Little winning for the home side whilst Trevor Allchurch, Michael Pickles and Paul Allchurch won for the Trout. The Club went ahead when Michael Irwin and Scott Little won the first doubles but the Trout then edged into the lead when they took the next two doubles through Trevor Allchurch with Paul Allchurch and Alan Bolam with Michael Pickles. However in the double points team game the Club edged through to victory.
Sunnybrow Brown Trout still lead the table despite this defeat as they have a three points lead over Hunwick Joiners Arms, who are two ahead of Willington Lion and Unicorn, who have a match in hand.

Newhouse Club held on to a seven points lead at the top of the table after they only dropped two points to the visiting Hamsteels Inn. The visitors' two points came from Jimmy Hanley in the singles and from Andy Hird with Hanley in the doubles. The home side took the two trebles, two of the doubles and singles through Brian Atkin, Brian Jones, Steve Turner, John Gilchrist and Steve Wilkie.
Tow Law New Market A are in second place in the table following their whitewash success over the visiting Esh McKennas. The Market have two games in hand on the leaders, Newhouse and are five points ahead of third placed Billy Row Club, again with the matches in hand.
Leading individual scorers: Richard Houghton with 180 and an 18 darts leg and David Dixon 180 for the New Market A, Angela Suddes and Anthony Hird 140 each for Dan's Castle and Stephen Umpelby and Wayne Anderson 140 each for the New Market B.

Crook Ladies League
Crook Jelly's Bar B tightened up the top of the table when they whitewashed the visiting Crook Queen's Head B to close the gap on the leaders, Crook Queen's Head A to six points. The Victoria Club are in third place, seven points behind Jelly's B but with a match in hand.
The leading individual scorers were Susan Timoney 134 for Jelly's B, Ann Varley 133 and 119 for the Travellers Rest, Marion Hesp 125 for the Queen's A, Carol Spencer 123 for the New Market B and Sheila Jones 121 for Jelly's A.

Byers Green Club won a vital top of the table clash with the visiting Crook Royal Sun by the odd point to keep them four points clear at the top. Crook Bar 56 moved into second place with the best win of the week, a five points success at Willington Brewer's Droop. This lifted them one point ahead of Crook Royal Sun.

Pat Davies 133 for the Olde Horse Shoe, Sue Whitfield 119 for Willington Cricket Club, Linda Heathcoat 118 for the Surtees, Carol Hurst 106 for Bar 56 and Jillian Scott 104 for the Coach and Horses.

Ithe second qualifying night of the competition, Crook Travellers Rest and Crook Spitfire Club C joined Crook Cricket Club and Crook Spitfire Club A in the finals. The Travellers Rest whitewashed Crook Olde Horse Shoe, whilst the Spitfire Club C beat their D team by the odd point.
