THE North Durham Motor Club ran a good sporting trial at Butsfield Quarry near Castleside last Sunday, writes Wally Richmond.
Thanks went to the Consett Motor Club, who allowed them to run the trial on one of the Consett club venues and also assisted in the running of the trial.
The club used four laps of a ten-section course to sort out the entry.
On the hard course, two riders - Michael Phillipson (Beta) and John Crinson (Gas Gas) - completed the trial without loss of marks.
Third place on the hard course went to Martin Phillipson (Beta), who lost two of his final total of seven marks at the last section.
