FIVE members of staff from Beaumont Hill School and College of Technology, Darlington, dressed up for a five-a-side match at the school's fun day on Saturday.
The five, Mick Helmsley, Bridget O'Neill, Martin Tweddle, Glenn Henry and Bev Clarke played a team from the Glittering Star pub, who won 4-2.
Despite the weather, £550 was raised at the event. Playing for the Star were Geordie Littlefair, Chris Smith, Chris Gage, Shaun Barraclough and Andy Garthwaite.
They also played a friendly runaround with school pupils. Mr Littlefair said: "It was a great day, real fun and a collection in the pub and a table top sale boosted the total to about £700."
Organiser Sue Harston said: "We are grateful to the people from the Glittering Star and everyone else who helped to make the event such a success."
