Consett Sunday League:THIRD Division Ball Alley pulled out all of the stops as they became one of four of the five league teams to make it through to the third qualifying round of the Durham Sunday Cup.
The Shield Row side edged Bishop Middleham Cross Keys by the odd goal in nine and are joined by Second Division outfit Burton House who beat Seaham George also by one goal in the best of five.
Stateside hit Seaham Holy Trinity for six with Thomas Bushby scoring twice along with Darren Bell, Kevin Eglon, Paul Jobes and Chris Connolly.
John Dettmar was another striker to score twice as Leadgate Golden Lion edged out Hartlepool Nursery 4-3 with Mark Turner and John Berry also scoring.
The only team to fail were Lanchester Social who, despite scoring first through Lee McVittie, lost their first game of the season when losing 2-1 at Hartlepool Belle Vue.
In the First Division, Blackhill Comrades have moved level on top with Lanchester - though they have played two games more.
They did so after winning 5-1 at Chopwell with Lee Innes scoring a hat-trick and Lee Fortunato hit both of the home goals.
Promoted Stanley Central were 3-1 winners at Station Ex Juniors with Jamie Patterson, Stu Hall and Shaun Costello on target and Paul McCourt replying while there was a 4-1 win for Blackhall Mill against Annfield Plain CC.
Mark Scott and Paul Pilkington both landed Second Division doubles as Oxhill Central stayed top after their 6-1 win over Top Club while Shaftoes were 7-1 winners over the Black Horse.
There were four goals for Gavin Rowell as the Highwayman saw off Annfield Plain Demi 6-2 and a 2-2 draw between the Plainsman and Cricketers while Steel Club and Bute Arms shared two goals.
David Lumley bagged a hat-trick for Burnhope in a 6-1 Third Division win at Cronniwell while a couple of Steve Hutchinson goals were not enough for Hamsteels who lost out 5-4 at Medomsley Miners for whom Graham Muirhead netted twice.
Burgoynnes remain top after a last minute Scott Rennell goal and another from Michael Nixon took them to a 2-1 win at Delves for whom David Carter scored while Hat & Feather beat Smelters 7-0 and Horse & Groom were 4-1 winners at Duke of Wellington.

Ennis Square 2 Thornaby Village 4
Ithe league, Thornaby Village produced the upset of the day when they came from behind to beat the league leaders.
Ennis man of the match Jonathan Kirk gave the Redcar side an early lead from the penalty spot but by the break, the Village had hit back to level the game.
In the second half, the Village took the game to Ennis and some good finishing coupled with some defensive errors combined to see them go into a 4-1 lead.
Ten minutes from time, substitute Steve Jones pulled a goal back for Ennis but despite their best efforts, they could not find a way through a resolute Thornaby Village rearguard.
Thornaby Mandale 1 M'bro PO 3
Middlesbrough PO capitalised on the Ennis defeat to move top of the table despite going behind to an early goal from Mandale's Steve Lambert.
South Bank Utd 3 Woodman's Arms 3
There was little to choose between the sides in the opening 40 minutes before the game exploded to life when United scored twice in the space of a minute.
Anthony Gregory set up Dave Larkin for United's opener just seconds before the pair combined again with Larkin turning provider for Gregory.
Geoff Maloney pulled a goal back for the Woodmans just before half time but when Gregory volleyed home his second goal of the game on sixty five minutes, the points looked to be heading United's way.
The Woodmans Arms had other ideas however and came back strongly to take a share of the points with Maloney scoring the vital equaliser ten minutes from time.
Bulls Head 1 South Park Rangers 4
With Stokesley's game against the King's Head postponed due to there being no referee, the day's other league fixture saw bottom club Bull's Head turn in a much better performance against South Park Rangers.
Keeper John Hart picked up another man of the match award for his efforts despite being beaten by two goals apiece from Steven Watson and Graham Watson.
Late in the game, Sean Oldfield scored for the Bulls with a free kick that curled inside the near post.

Linx Hemlington 0 British Steel Sp. 3
British Steel Sports produced one of the upsets of the day when they beat Linx Hemlington.
David John headed them into a first half lead and when Jason Downing made it 2-0 early in the second half, Sports found themselves in uncharted territory.
With striker David Whitfield turning in a man of the match performance, Sports wrapped up the game when James Joyce volleyed home following a corner.
