A CHRISTMAS shopping extravaganza in aid of charity will be held at the Ramside Hall Hotel, in Durham, on Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16.
The established annual event will see more than 50 stalls offering goods ranging from designer clothing, sporting gifts and children's toys to jewellery, fine foods and fashion accessories.
Organised by a committee of volunteers, the event provides an opportunity to stock up for Christmas. Over the years it has raised £144,000 for charity.
The two shopping days will provide customers with a chance to buy a host of presents with the bonus of knowing that ten per cent of what they spend will go to a local good cause.
The shopping opportunity will be open from 10am to 4pm each day.
The proceeds from this year's event will go to Children North-East, Macmillan Cancer Relief's County Dur-ham Appeal and St Cuthbert's Hospice, in Durham City.
