A CELEBRITY cook prepared a mouth-watering feast for guests while they discussed ways to put Yorkshire Dales traditional beef on the nation's best menus.
Using only local produce, writer and broadcaster Sophie Grigson filled the stomachs of farmers, producers and members of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's Limestone Country team.
The event, organised by Erskine Corporation LLP, a communications company in West Marton, featured a range of speakers, including experts from the marketing and farming industries.
Angela Campbell, of Erskine Corporation LLP, said: "The night was all about putting words into practice. As the first herds of traditional breeds are re-introduced to the fells of the Yorkshire Dales, the demand for high-quality food continues to increase.
"We wanted to demonstrate to local farmers and producers involved in the Limestone Country Project the many exciting options available to them to market their traditional beef to the nation's restaurants and retailers.
"This demand will increase profits for farmers and producers as well as tell the nation what we've always known, that Yorkshire Dales beef is best."
