A SALES negotiator whose mother has twice been diagnosed with breast cancer is going for gold.
Trudy Graham has decided to take up a challenge, set by Breast Cancer Care, to raise enough money to qualify for a bronze, silver or gold award.
Her mother has been hit by the disease twice in seven years.
As part of her efforts to hit the bronze target of £500, Trudy, who works in the Property Shop at Gordon Brown Associates, in Chester-le-Street, is holding a staff bake sale and coffee morning at the firm's Front Street office on Friday, October 31.
She said: "I decided to take up the charity challenge set by Breast Cancer Care because of what my mum has gone through and have been supported by everybody at Gordon Brown Associates, many of whom have been affected by the disease in one way or another, either through friends or relatives."
