THE boss of a kitchen manufacturers has guaranteed Saltburn Youth Club will reopen with a recipe for success.
Paul Welham replied to a plea for help from youth worker Toni Pendry, whose father, Trevor, is a designer with his company in Marske.
Now the club has its first fully-fitted kitchen, supplied and installed free, to add to its new decor and furniture, which has been funded by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's youth service.
The council's area youth worker, Helen Woodrow, said: "We're so grateful to Paul. The centre is now much more attractive and the staff are able to offer a wider range of activities, including cooking."
Local band Caught in the Headlights, from Saltburn's Huntcliff School, will play at the club's reopening night tomorrow, welcoming back a membership that has had its own say in how the interior should look.
The club, in the grounds of Saltburn Primary School, hasbeen shut for two months, but it will now resume regular opening hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7pm to 9.30pm.
