A MADAGASCAN hissing cockroach and a Chilean rose tarantula were among the stars of a creepy-crawly show staged at a North-East school yesterday.
The Big Bugs Show held at Sunderland High School not only held the pupils spellbound but proved a very educational exercise.
The display of creepy crawlies which also included a Giant African Millipede was presented by insect expert Lee Gibbs.
Four sessions of the insect display were held throughout the day for pupils both at the High School and its junior school.
The students were fascinated by the hugely entertaining and highly educational event which proved to be among the most popular lessons of the day.
