THE mayor of Hartlepool will next week unveil his plans to take the town forward over the next 12 months.
Councillor Stuart Drummond will be speaking at the annual State of the Borough Debate, which takes place in the Civic Centre, on Tuesday, at 7pm.
As part of his presentation, Coun Drummond will also look back at achievements during the past year.
Residents are urged to attend the event and will have an opportunity to put questions directly to the mayor about anything in his talk.
Coun Drummond said: "I've already indicated I am working towards a fairer, safer, cleaner, healthier and more prosperous Hartlepool, and the event will give me an opportunity to explain to the people of the town how I am to achieve this over the next year.
"I do hope local residents take the opportunity to come along and listen to what I have to say and they can also put their questions to me."
The debate will be chaired by Coun Carl Richardson, chairman of the council.
There will be an hour set aside for questions from the public and the event is expected to finish at about 8.30pm.
