A PRIMARY school PTA has won a national award.
The parents and teachers at Preston Primary School, in Eaglescliffe, near Stockton have won the £500 NCPTA Outstanding Achievement Award for providing innovative activities for the children.
The money will be spent on gaining professional help to provide even more fun activities.
Parent Jo Anderson, a PTA member, said: "We started the after school activities in the spring term of this year with a cookery course, followed by arts and crafts and hockey. We are currently running golf sessions.
"Each activity runs for five weeks and we hope to continue running similar courses using a wide variety of themes."
