TWO art students found themselves £250 better off after their work won praise from a property company.
Rachel Johnson and Natalie Davies, students at Darlington College of Technology, have their work hanging in the corridors of the town's Lingfield Point office complex.
Tutor Donna Slyfield said 30 students were asked to produce large works on the theme of Lingfield Point or Darlington.
"The work ranged from representational to abstract and used a variety of mediums," she said. "I was very pleased with it. It was varied and a very personal response from the students."
Both winners were aged 17 and second year art and design students. Rachel, of Richmond used photography.
"I took a photo of the door then flipped it so it was like a mirror image," she said.
Natalie, from Darlington, worked with acrylic paints.
She said: "I took photographs of different parts of the building and blended them in to one painting."
They were each presented with cheques for £250 by Lingfield Point.
