A PHYSIOTHERAPIST is needed to help prepare a horrifically burnt child for a life-saving operation.
Seven-year-old Romanian Mariana was doused in petrol and set on fire by mafia thugs.
Middlesbrough plastic surgeon Charles Viva is willing to operate on the child free of charge when she is brought to the UK.
But another specialist has told Rod Jones, founder of the Convoy Aid Romania charity, that Mariana must be treated by a physiotherapist to ensure she remains supple for surgery. The little girl's hands are in danger of healing back in a claw-like position.
The charity will take care of the specialist's travel and accommodation in Romanian.
"There is a desperate need that we get a physiotherapist to her,'' said Mr Jones.
Anyone who is able to help is asked to contact the charity on (01642) 613106 or 0779 063 4044.
