TWO students have achieved excellence awards from the London College of Music.
Rebecca Wilson, of Guisborough, and Phillip Glass, from Eston, were the highest regional achievers in their examinations in the last academic year.
Rebecca is studying for a performing arts degree at London Metropolitan University and has earned the Highest Achiever Award for Acting Grade 8.
Phillip, who is in his second year of a performing arts course at Redcar and Cleveland College, in Redcar, was presented the Highest Achiever Award for Music Theatre Grade 5.
They were presented with their awards at a concert in Gateshead where Rebecca performed a speech from Cabaret and Phillip, complete with his puppet, performed Sonny Boy.
Phillip said: "It was a great night at the awards ceremony and fun to meet all the other achievers."
Stephen Colbert, from Redcar and Cleveland College, said: "There are a lot of very talented and creative young people in this area and we are glad to be able to attract a number to our performing arts courses."
