A Darlington Primary School Football team has been picked for the forthcoming season.
The practice of selecting a team from the town's primary schools resumed two years ago after a 30 year break.
Since then the town team has won four county cups.
There are also plans to introduce a girls league in the town this year.
Secretary Paul Bielby said he was delighted with the development of the sport at primary school age.
The Darlington town team will include: Lewis Brown from St Teresa's; Robert Chambers from Alderman Leach; Chris Charlton from Heathfield; Ben Bradley and Robert Gilmore from Skerne Park; Lee Greaves from Rise Carr; Ben Hastie from Holy Family; Shane Campbell and Karl Hewitt from North Road; Jackson Kneeshaw from Hurworth House; Matthew Maddison from Heighington; Josh Phillips from Bishopton and Redmarshall; Daniel Thomson from Reid Street, and Jack Whittaker from Mowden.
The Darlington team's first fixtures will be against school sides from Newcastle, Hartlepool, Chester-le-Street and Bishop Auckland.
