A WARNING has been issued after a briefcase containing three bottles of potentially lethal adrenaline was stolen in Redcar.

The case was taken when thieves broke into a Vauxhall Corsa, in Aske Road, and stole the case with three clearly-marked bottles of the substance. Anyone who may have recovered the bottles is asked to return them to their nearest police station. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on (01642) 301101.

WINTER FUN: Leaflets about outdoor activities in the Hartlepool area during the winter have been published. Hartlepool Council's leaflet is called Wild About Hartlepool and includes information about guided walks, seal watches, archery sessions, tree planting, squirrel searches and other activities. It is available from the Summerhill Visitor Centre, libraries and the Tourist Information Centre in Church Square. Yarm FAIR: Police are reminding motorists that there will be disruption to traffic due to preparations for Yarm Fair. The High Street will be closed tomorrow and Friday from 5.30pm to 9pm. On Saturday, it will close between 11am and noon for the traditional horse 'flashing', or riding, and again from 6pm to midnight.

RECYCLE MOBILES: Charity ActionAid Recycling has teamed up with Stockton Borough Council to organise a recycling unit for mobile phones and printer, photocopier and fax cartridges. Money raised will go to help fight child poverty around the world. A collection point has been set up at the council's Environment Centre, 21, West Row, Stockton.

THANK YOU: The Billingham Townswomen Guild has publicly thanked everyone who helped raise £260 for Stockton's Butterwick Hospice and Billingham's children's centre recently.

PUB BLAZE: A ground floor storage area and the first floor of the derelict Wild Ox pub, Stockton, were damaged in a fire on Monday night. There was also smoke damage to the store room of an adjoining property.
