SCARBOROUGH MP Lawrie Quinn is holding a public meeting to press the case for upgrading roads leading to the Yorkshire coast.
Last year, he and Ryedale MP John Greenway met Transport Minister David Jamieson to discuss the inadequacies of the A64 transport corridor to the coast.
Mr Quinn said: "At that meeting, the minister challenged local and regional stakeholders to produce further detailed work to support the economic case for improved links to Scarborough and Whitby, through Ryedale."
A meeting on Friday, at Scarborough Central Library, will show the completed work.
Mr Quinn said: "It will provide an opportunity for a public discussion on our final representations to the Department of Transport and I am hoping for a big turnout."
