PEOPLE were given a glimpse of what life is like on other countries when they visited Darlington town centre at the weekend.
Activities organised by the Campaign for Learning saw parts of the town turned into culture zones. The Railway Museum, Crown Street Library and the Dolphin Centre were among the venues offering music, food and art from Europe, Asia and Africa.
People were given a chance to play Indian instruments, taste oriental snacks and learn Bengali. African art and poetry was on show in the library. The event was to encourage positive learning.
