LEARNER drivers are needed to help a driving instructor ditch his own L plates.
Andrew Endrodi, a trainee driving instructor, has been studying for his Advanced Driving Instructor qualifications for 18 months.
But unless he finds at least six volunteer learner drivers to practice his tuition skills he will not be allowed to pass and start a new career.
Mr Endrodi, 38, of Thornaby, who works for Stockton Borough Council's Training and Employment Service, has been searching desperately for volunteers.
He said: "I printed leaflets and put them on cars with L plates around Stockton but I've had no response. I'm looking for learners of all ages. The only restriction is that they must have a car which they are insured to drive for me to teach them."
Mr Endrodi hopes to set up in business once he has qualified as an instructor.
Any learning drivers who are interested can contact John Williams at the Training and Employment Service on (01642) 415300.
