New ranges in leading department stores Selfridges and Harvey Nichols helped celebrity jeweller Theo Fennell report a 26 per cent surge in sales.

The group, which has 13 outlets in the UK, said revenues of £6.7m for the six months to September 30 reflected additional selling space as well as a significant increase in one-off orders.

Customers are thought to include Sir Elton John and England captain David Beckham.

The company has a presence in Manchester and has also benefited from the refurbished jewellery department at Selfridges in London.
