CAST members from a production of Roald Dahl's story, The Twits, entertained Metro travellers in a bid to draw visitors to their show.
The actors took up a popular busking spot at the Newcastle's Monument Metro station to treat travellers to some tunes from the play.
The Twits runs at Sunderland's Empire Theatre until Saturday.
The story, of the revolting tricks Mr and Mrs Twit play on each other, is told using circus and aerial skills.
The show is suitable for children over five and tickets are priced from £7.50 to £13.50.
