Nicholas Briggs, the brother of BBC TV presenter Colin Briggs, will return to his roots when he directs a murder mystery play.
The play, The Dead of Night, will run from Tuesday, October 21 until October 25 at Durham's Gala Theatre.
Mr Briggs, who has established a reputation as a writer and director, said: "I know it sounds a bit old hat but I am really looking forward to coming to Durham and catching up with some relatives and, of course, Colin."
The play, a whodunnit with overtones of the recent Tony Martin case, will begin at 7.30pm each day, with matinees on Thursday and Saturday, at 2.30pm.
Tickets are available by calling 0191-332 4041.
