AN independent school will hold an open day for pupils and parents tomorrow.
The junior and senior schools at Polam Hall School, in Darlington, will be open from 10am to 1pm for families to meet new headmistress Marie Green and view the facilities and classes on offer.
There will be demonstrations of dancing, fencing and self-defence, with language lessons also taking place in the junior department. Pupils will also conduct guided tours of the school and its grounds during the day.
Visitors are asked to arrive at the school's reception, in the town's Grange Road, from 10am tomorrow.
Polam Hall takes boys and girls aged two-and-a-half to five in its nursery and girls aged four to 18 in the main school.
The school accepts boarders from the age of eight.
