CHILDREN have taken part in abseiling and cheerleading as part of a fundraising event.
More than 1,000 pupils at Laurence Jackson School, in Guisborough, took part in their fourteenth annual Sponsored Activities Day, which also included table tennis, football, basketball and cross-country running.
Last year's event raised £6,400 for charities and good causes and teachers hope a similar amount will have been made this year.
PE teacher Chris Warren, who organised the event, said: "The day went really well and the children really enjoyed themselves."
The event has raised more than £75,000 since the activity days started.
Decisions about the allocation of this year's money will be made by students and staff and presentations will take place in assemblies.
