Because most clubs were on duty in the Durham County Under-16 Cup, just one game was played in the league and Redheugh celebrated a 9-3 victory at Rutherford.

In the Durham County U16 Cup Cleveland Hall suffered a 6-1 defeat at Norton and Consett also made their exit but only by a single goal at Newton Aycliffe.
In an all league tie South Moor had the better of Birtley by 6-2 and Gateshead Redheugh Under-15s played particularly well to progress over Hartlepool Crest Boys by the odd goal in seven.
Blaydon also reached the next stage defeating Sunderland Lambton 4-1 and Leam Rangers ended 2-1 ahead of Hartlepool Headlands 2000.
At Under-17 level Redheugh had the better of Leam Rangers by a 4-0 margin, but goals were scarce when Blackfyne and South Moor finished 1-1. Dan Stewart struck for Blackfyne with Stephen Agnew replying for South Moor.
Two goals from David Paylor were sufficient for Winlaton Promotions in their home match with Birtley whose only goal came from Philip Wadge.
