The delayed first round game in the The Darlington Motor Factors Cup saw Middleton St. George ease past Canney Hill, with the MSG dominating the first half but unable to break the deadlock and the teams went in at half time level at 0-0.
The second half was sparked into life with a fine strike from Martin Dove, goals from John Sunter and Mark Evans soon followed, Mark Brischuk then added another with man of the match Dove completing an excellent hat-trick with five minutes left to make the final score Middleton St George 6, Canney Hill 1.
In the quarter final ties the game between Royal British Legion and The Northern Echo was postponed due to the unavailability of a referee and Pepper Draughting Services continued their push for a league and cup double with a 10-2 victory at Smufit.
FRA Mowden continued their good start to the season as they overcome a spirited Berlins side with a brace from Martin Hickmans, the first came through good work down the left side from Craig Graham and Gavin Easby, and Hickmans finished off a crisp move with an an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner of the net. Hickmans had Paul Carroll to thank for his second as he headed in a superb 60 yard pass, to give Patterson in the Berlins goal no chance. Berlins than rallied and Shaw had a goal ruled out for offside, but with Berlins working hard to get back into the game Patterson pulled a goal back after chipping Gareth Percival in the home side's goal, going past the keeper to slot the ball into the empty net. However Ben Hickson secured a place in the semis for the hosts with a powerfull header ten minutes from time.
The only league game saw Cleveland Bridge take on Copper Beech DCS, the Bridge winning 3-0.
