The Annual Presentation Evening was held at Kelloe Club with the Vice President, Dave Quickmire presenting the awards in the absence of President, John Vickery, who was on holiday.
The League secretary, Ian C. Young was the organiser and acted as the Master of Ceremonies.
The League Championship Trophy went to Leeholme for the fourth season in succession with Crook Glenholme taking the runners-up award. Leeholme need to win the Championship for the next three years to equal the Glenholme record of seven consecutive victories between 1982 and 1988.
The Second Division trophy went to Brandon with Addison Park taking the runners-up award. Mainsforth won the Third Division trophy with Chilton the runners-up.
Leeholme, with Addison Park taking the runners-up awards, won the Millennium Trophy, presented to the League by Margaret and Bill Kirk. Willington Spectrum and Mainsforth took the awards for the beaten semi-finalists.
The R. J. Hall Trophy for the League Singles Championship was won by G. Williams of Ever Ready/Craghead with his team mate, A Brown taking the runners-up award. The Men's Pairs Championship went to D. Jones and W. Maddison of Mainsforth after they beat R. Ledger and G. Williams of Ever Ready/Craghead in the final. Mrs E. Charlton and W. Miller of Brandon with won the Marshall Yates Trophy for the Mixed Pairs Championship with Mrs P. Cummings and R. Forster of Sherburn Village taking the runners-up awards.
The Tom McNamara Trophy for the Triples Championship went to I. Hudson, R. Hindson and B. Slinn of Nevilles Cross with R. Forster, R. Flowers and P. Cummings of Sherburn Village. W. Sedman, D. Parkin, J. Hewitt and J. Doney of Witton Gilbert won the President's Trophy for the Rinks Championship with B. Attwood, D. Quickmire, D. Roberts and K. Stamp of Leeholme taking the runners-up award.
T. Leathers, V. Simpson and V. Thompson of Sherburn Village won the Durham County Hospital Cup with W. Hughes, R. Presho and A. Healer of Wingate the beaten finalists. All the entry fees for this competition were donated to the hospital.
