Both Stockton Under-12s and Kader looked evenly matched with the first chance falling to JJ Tucker of Stockton who's shot flew past the keeper but a Kader defender headed the ball off the line.

Once the game settled down Kader managed to knot the Stockton defence up to score the opener, then one minute from half-time a scramble that wasn't cleared resulted in Kader's second goal.

After a confidence boost at half time Stockton came out fighting but just could not get passed the inform Kader keeper, then with 20 minutes left and a couple of subs Harley Gibb picked the ball in midfield and with great awareness picked out Scott Hillerby out wide who crossed the ball for Karl Sharp to place in the net. Now Stockton were well on top and as Hal White twinkle-toed past three players before squaring a ball across goal for Karl's second.

Less than two minutes later a combination of Jamie Moore and Hall White robbed Kader's defence off the ball and played a Beckham-esque cross over for Karl to chest the ball down and volley the winner.

This could have been different if Joe Andrew hadn't produced an amazing save in the dying minutes.

Stockton Town Athletic faced a tricky game against their more experienced club-mates Stockton Town Juniors and it was made trickier by the loss of key personnel and with only eight to pick from.

However, the early stages were even with both teams playing some good football. Daniels and Deighton in the Athletic defence had to be at their strongest to cope with the powerful Duck and lively Tracey and they did this with great composure to play the ball out from the back.

Both teams had chances with Luke Wollastone coming closest when he rattled the frame of the goal from the edge of the box. The strong running of Jamie Good caused problems for Juniors and only the lack of a final ball prevented Athletic capitalising on Mcarthur's intelligent movement. Juniors took the lead when Duck found space in the Athletic box to fire in his second goal in as many games. Athletic came close to equalising on the stroke of half time when Mcarthur again found space but a strong challenge from Moody denied.

The second half followed in a similar vein with typically resilient defending from Deighton and Daniels holding out despite the creative Dowson enjoying a trademark performance in midfield. Athletic continued to cause problems on the counter attack. With Athletic pushing on for an equaliser the strong running of Higgins and excellent hold up play of Everson began to take its toll on the tiring Athletic. The same combination of Higgins and Everson then added goals to make the final score 3-0.

Man of the match awards went to the exceptional Dowson for Juniors and Good and Deighton for Athletic.
