SHOPPERS were urged to join a photo-petition against the arms trade at the weekend.
Amnesty International is compiling the Million Faces petition to demand tougher controls on world arms trading.
Campaigners from the organisation were in High Row, Darlington, yesterday gathering support for the petition.
The aim is to collect photographs of a million faces from across the world to put on the petition.
Amnesty is working with Oxfam and the International Action Network on Small Arms to campaign for a global arms trade treaty.
