IMPRESSIVE artwork from primary school children has gone on display at the Arc in Stockton.
More than 600 youngsters from Whinstone Primary School, in Ingleby Barwick, took part in the National Gallery Take One Picture scheme, which was designed to encourage children to use images creatively across the curriculum.
The resulting work, all based upon Paolo Ucello's painting of St George and the Dragon, includes 3D work, poems, textiles, writing, painting and a spectacular 9ft model of St George and the Dragon.
Staff at the gallery were so impressed with the work that it was exhibited as part of the Take One Picture exhibition in London earlier this year.
The work has now gone on show at the Arc until November 25.
Mike McGrother, Arc education director, said: "The work the children have put together is absolutely excellent and the fact the National Gallery chose to exhibit it is a testament to the quality of the work and the effort all the children put in.
"We are thrilled the Arc is able to display the work and enable the whole community to benefit from the children's successes."
