DELIVERY drivers collecting money from a business were forced to hand over a substantial amount of cash after they were threatened by a man with a weapon.
The incident happened yesterday in Safeway car park, in Guisborough, east Cleveland, after the men had picked up takings from the Courtyard pub, near the supermarket, at about 10.50am.
The robber threatened the delivery drivers and then made off with the money in a white Ford Escort van, registration number G949 YAR, driven by an accomplice.
Police said the vehicle was stolen from Redcar on Tuesday, October 14. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sergeant Dave Pettrick on (01642) 302626.
