A MAN who told a jury he was not a burglar was found guilty yesterday.
Anthony Singh, 29, of Hartington Road, Stockton, was accused of breaking into a house in Teesside in January and stealing goods worth £11,680.
Singh told the jury at Teesside Crown Court that he was not a burglar but they found him guilty after hearing that several items stolen during the break-in were found at his flat.
Mr Singh was also spotted on security cameras using stolen credit cards and had applied for duplicate registration documents for a car taken from the property.
The court heard yesterday that Singh, who had previously pleaded not guilty to burglary, was due to be sentenced for a number of other crimes, including handling stolen goods, burglary and deception.
The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports and Singh was remanded in custody.
