2 Fast 2 Furious (12). Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Eva Mendes, Cole Hauser, Ludacris, James Remar.
Following a disastrous undercover sting operation, FBI hotshot Brian O'Connor (Walker) is stripped of his badge and shunned by his colleagues.
He is offered a chance to get back onto the Miami force if he agrees to go undercover and expose the shady business practices of Carter Verone (Hauser), who is suspected of running an international money-laundering cartel.
Brian agrees, with the proviso that he is partnered by his thrill-seeking best friend and ex-con Roman Pearce (Gibson).
25TH Hour (15) Edward Norton, Barry Pepper, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rosario Dawson, Anna Paquin, Brian Cox.
Convicted drug dealer Montgomery Brogan (Norton) is enjoying his final fleeting moments of freedom before serving a seven-year stint in prison for possession of class A drugs.
During an eventful 24 hours, Monty reminisces about his life, including his relationship with girlfriend Naturelle (Dawson), and the camaraderie with best buddies Jakob (Hoffman) and Frank (Pepper).
Biker Boyz (12). Derek Luke, Laurence Fishburne, Orlando Jones, Kid Rock, Lisa Bonet, Eriq La Salle, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Brendan Fehr, Rock Gonzalez.
Based on a Los Angeles Times article, Biker Boyz is essentially 2 Fast 2 Furious On 2 Wheels.
Reggie Rock Bythewood's first major studio feature is also 2 Cliched 2 Plodding And 2 Implausible and never once lives up to its billing as ''an action-packed contemporary western on wheels".
Biker Boyz fails to deliver the pure adrenaline rush of an action movie.
Bythewood doesn't have the pedigree or the imagination to energise the racing sequences.
Simply cutting back and forth between two riders in close-up isn't enough to get the blood pumping.
Talented young actor Luke is disappointingly flat and Fishburne is just as lifeless.
