A COMBINED flu clinic and health promotion event has been arranged for people living in and around Middleham.
The event, on Thursday, November 6, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm, at the Key Centre, will include a variety of stalls.
Topics will include home and personal safety, fire safety, healthy eating and home appliances and adaptations. The event is supported by a range of local agencies and partnerships.
District nurse Tanya Wilbor said: "The whole aim of the day is to take advice on services and practical help out to local people to empower them to keep well, physically, emotionally and environmentally.
"The main thing is getting the message across that good health is about more than medical consultation."
A flu clinic for the over-65s and for others eligible for medical reasons living in Middleham and Coverdale will take place before the health promotion event. For details or to arrange help with transport, call (01969) 622391.
