Chester-le-Street: The Chester-le-Street promotion bandwagon rolled west to Carlisle for what many thought would be their toughest test yet in the Northern Regional Women's League Division One.
The match was a thoroughly entertaining game with both sides playing excellent football.
Laura Gibbon put Chester ahead, following up after her initial shot was saved. Carlisle levelled from the spot, only for Rae Taylor to hit a spectacular 30 yard free kick past a helpless Carlisle keeper.
Captain Vikki Ryder gave the Cestrians a two-goal cushion at half time, playing neat one two's before chipping the keeper.
The second half saw more flowing football from both sides, but it was Chester-le-Street's 15-year-old winger Rachel Weightman who scored from 20 yards to make it 4-1. Just to prove it was no fluke she did it again to make the final score 5-1 and preserve the 100 per cent record.
