Last weekend 11 swimmers from Billingham Swimming Club competed at the N & D Graded Championships at Killingworth.
All the team continued to progress to a higher level achieving 22 personal bests out of 32 swims. Three swimmers were triumphant in bringing home six medals between them.
Nine-year-old Stephanie Blakeburn was victorious in the 200m free collecting gold also silver in the 100m IM and 50m back. Eleven-year-old Gareth Allen claimed fourth position in the 100m fly whilst 13-year-old Joanne Longster with two medals gained fourth in the 100m back and fifth in the 400m free, her other swims being 100m IM and free and 50m fly.
