After being away on cup commitments Tindale WMC were back on league duty carrying on their good run with a 4-0 win at Hurworth over the Emerson Arms, Ashley Wilson hit a brace with one apiece going to Garry Whittaker and Andrew Fairley.
Shildon Elm Road WMC were given a shock in their 5-4 win over Darlington Stadia. After a fairly even first half, Elm went in 2-1 to the good, in the second they had the better of the early play and went 4-1 up but Lee Hammond spotted the keeper off his line and from the halfway line scored with a well judged lob, this bucked Stadia up who pulled back to 4-4, with time running out Carl Dawson completed his hat-trick hitting the winner, Darryl Meadows and Craig Evans were the other Elm Road scorers, for Stadia Anthony Aslett , Adam Hughes and a second for Hammond.
Darlington Archdeacon had an excellent win against neighbours Darlington The Mowden. Ian Thompson struck early for 'Deacon with Chris Jordan adding a second before Scott Hodgson pulled one back just before the interval. In the second half it was 'Deacon who added to their score with another three whilst Mowden appeared to stuggle in front of goal. For Archdeacon Jordan completed his hat-trick with Paul Mulrooney rounding off the scoring.
Another side looking for a goalscorer are Darlington Dalesman who went down to Darlington Travellers Rest 9-1. The Travellers forwards knew exactly where the goal was, Chris Hall, Dave Lewis and Chris Marksby all hit a brace, Rob Creek and Matty Cole scored one with the other being an own goal.
At Chilton the Community College got the better of Stillington The Royal 4-3 in a tightly fought encounter, Mark Warnes (2) and Paul Burt were on target for The Royal.
The youngsters of Darlington GSOB put up a great show before going down 3-1 to West Auckland Queens Head in the South Durham Bowl.
