A hard fought encounter between the Shuttle and Loom and AFC Brinkburn ended in victory for the home side.
Although they took the lead in the first minute when Terry Greenstreet volley home, it was the visitors who were the dominate force in the first half and Stuart Alderson brought the scores level with a great headed equaliser. This was a game of two halves with the Shuttle playing a totally different game to the first 45 minutes, when they created chance after chance and it was combination of last ditch tackles, goal line clearances and a fine goalkeeping display by man of the match Gordon Davies in the Brinkburn goal that kept the scores level, but with only 10 minutes remaining Shuttle were awarded a penalty, but again Davies pulled off a great save from Chris Airey's spot kick, only to see the ball rebound to Airey who headed home to secure the points for Shuttle with a 2-1 win.
East End WMC had a hard fought 2-1 victory at the expense of Killinghall Arms, while Nestfield Club travelled to Hurworth Albion and came away with a 6-3 victory.
