SESSIONS encouraging families to get arty start at the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery this weekend.
The gallery will hold about 20 drop-in art and craft sessions leading up to Christmas aimed at youngsters and their parents.
Is it Art? starts the ball rolling tomorrow and Sunday and explores the world of abstract art. Visitors can call in for ten minutes or two hours and create their own contemporary masterpiece.
Halloween Masks next Friday encourages families to celebrate the occasion by creating a nightmare from their own imagination.
Sessions run from 1pm to 3pm and cost 50p in addition to normal admission.
