THE clock is being turned back 588 years as a restored medieval townhouse marks the day a small force, commanded by King Henry V, triumphed over a mighty French army at Agincourt.
The great English victory of October 25, 1415 is being celebrated this weekend as Barley Hall, in York, once again hosts its successful Agincourt Weekend.
The attraction will be brought to life with demonstrations and games, allowing visitors to find out more about medieval warfare and the amazing skills of Henry's longbowmen.
There will be armour, weapons and medieval costumes to try - plus the chance for visitors to test their own skills as soldiers of the Middle Ages.
Re-enactment groups York City Levy and the Company of Palm Sunday from the Towton Battlefield Society will be at Barley Hall providing the fun-filled family entertainment.
In true spirit of European community, admission to the Weekend, open from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, will be free to all French visitors.
