Division One: Hartlepool FC 1, New Marske SC 0: Oa hard bumpy pitch with a strong swirling wind the game was very scrappy with no goals forthcoming in the first half.
The home side struggled throughout but the introduction of 16-year-old substitute Ian Davies brought its reward for the home side when he scored the only goal of the game.

Teesside Link 2, Guisb Town Res 0
The majority of the first half was very even throughout but the deadlock was broken in the last minute of the first half when Robbie Shaw scored his fifth of the season. Steve Hill finished things off.

Dormans FC 2, Mackinlay Park 4
Second Division leader Dormans were entertaining Redcar side Mackinlay Park who took a 10th minute lead through Kristian Maloney, but Michael Stangoe quickly made it 1-1, a piece of acrobatic finishing by James McGowan who scored with an overhead bicycle kick gave the home side a 2-1 half time lead. The second half was very even but on the hour Ray Teasdale broke through the Dormans defence and scored. Twelve minutes later Mackinlay Park took the lead through Paul Jewitt and with ten minutes remaining Khalide Mazfari secured a berth in the second round.
Fishburn Park 1, Stokesley SC 1
(Stokesley won 5-4 on pens)
Stokesley (Wear) took the lead through a former Fishburn man Jonathan Newton. Duncan Marson took the team in level at half time when he scored on the stroke of half time whistle. The half hour of extra time saw neither side able to win the match and the match was decided with a penalty shootout which the Stokesley side won 5-4.
Grangetown BC 3, Bedale FC 2
Grangetown Boys Club entertained fellow league side Bedale FC, the Boys Club took a 13th minute lead through Darren Morrison which was the only goal of a tight first half, in the second half the home side were well on top and added to their score through Ian McGowan in the 52nd minute, the same player then scored again in the 68th minute to make it 3-0 and seemingly secured a second round match, but Bedale struck back and Nigel Binks scored in the 72nd minute to pull it back to 3-1 and with only four minutes remaining scored again to make it 3-2, Bedale then pressed forward looking for a goal to take the match into extra time but the Boys Club defended stoutly to secure the match.
Nunthorpe Ath 3, Stokesley SC 0
All three goals game in the last 20 minutes when Nunthorpe took control and Simon O'Shea crashed home the ball from just out side the Stokesley penalty area in the 70th minute, five minutes later a ball from Mark Boase found O'Shea who made no mistake with his second of the game. The match was put out of reach of the visitors with five minutes remaining when Peter Crawford scored a good individual goal wrapped up the game.
Richmond Mavs 5, Carlin How 4, aet
Second Division Richmond Mavericks entertained First Division side Carlin How who fell behind to a Wayne Gredziak who headed home from close range after eight minutes, Carlin How drew level in the 23rd minute when Steve Starsmore scored, Andrew Mollitt then gave the Mavericks the lead again two minutes later with a strike into the top of the net. Mark Fleetwood gave the home side a 3-1 lead with a low drive into the bottom corner in the 32nd minutes but Starsmore pulled it back to 3-2 from a free kick on the stroke of half time. In the second half the first division side drew level and then took the lead when first Martin Say scored from another free kick and twenty minutes later Starsmore secured his hat trick with a tremendous goal to give Carlin How a 4-3 lead. On the stroke of the full time whistle Maverick drew level at 4-4 when Gary Nicholson headed home. Richmond won the match when Tim Waite headed home.
Richmond Town 3,Teesside Ath 1
Richmond broke the deadlock when Adam Emson broke down the left and brought a good save from the Redcar sides keeper, unfortunately the ball bounced loose and Richard Thompson was on hand to give the home side a narrow 1-0 lead. Thompson was played through and he kept his cool to make it 2-0, ten minutes later Thompson completed his hat trick when another flowing move down the right saw him finish in clinical fashion. In the last minute the visitors scored a late consolation through Kirk Forsyth.
Thornaby FC 2, Thornaby YC 4
In the second half the match remained tight until the 68th minute when the visiting Youth Club took a 3-0 lead when Marty Moore scored with a dipping 30 yard long range shot and then Gary Waite and Fixter scored. Danny Jones made it four before Neil Preston drove home to make the final score 4-2
Durham Trophy preliminary round
Billingham W. 3 Seaham To. Co. 2 (aet)
Billingham Wanderers entertained Seaham Town Community in this preliminary round of the Durham Trophy who raced into a two lead when John Mitchell score from a 9th minute penalty and Martin Coell made it 2-0 going into the half time break. Billingham drew level with goals from Dave Philips and John Cairns. Then in extra time Cairns clinched the winner.
Darlington RA Res 3 Durham UA 4
Darlington RA reserves bowed out at the first attempt. Durham took the lead through John Branch, this was doubled mid way through the first half when James Hudson scored, but the RA struck back when Graham Dodsworth pulled it back to 2-1. In the second half the visitors increased their lead to 3-1 when Chris Bowes score, but Dean Lawson pulled it back to 3-2. Bowes was then on target for the second time to make it 4-2 and Steve Walker's late strike was not enough score.
D'ton SRM 3, D'ton CB 2 (aet)
It was the home side who took the lead after only seven minutes when Ross Kinsley scored, Cleveland Bridge were back on level terms in the 25th minute when Graham Wedge scored to make it level at 1-1 going into the half time break. Stuart Hardy gave the Cleveland Bridge the lead for the first time, but in the 75th minute it was all-square at 2-2 when Lee Sinclair scored. In extra time Gavin Harris hit the winner.
Chopwell Top Club 2 Wolviston Res 1
Chopwell Top Club took a 15th minute lead but Wolviston were back on level terms on the half hour mark when Glen Walker skipped past a couple of defenders and finished from five yards. But Wolviston were caught on the break when Chopwell broke and booked a first round berth with 15 minutes left on the watch.
SMG Redstripes 2 W'ton H'garth 3 (aet)
Billingham SMG Redstripes fell 2-0 behind but Shaun Clarke made it 2-1. Steven Keel made it 2-2 right on the stroke of the full but Winlaton Hallgarth won it in extra time.
