Willington Ladies League: Willington Club B bounced back to winning ways in the darts section, after their first defeat last week, with a three points victory at Willington Lion and Unicorn.
This result pushes them 17 points clear of Willington Burn and Willington Club A, who share second place, one point ahead of Sunnybrow Brown Trout.
Willington Market only dropped one dominoes point on their visit to Willington Black Horse A to stay two points clear at the top of the table. Willington Burn hold second place, one point ahead of Willington Cottles A.

Auckland Area CIU League
West Auckland and Newton Aycliffe Horndale are the early leaders in the darts section after both recorded three point victories. Old Shildon whitewashed Eldon Lane to go to the top of the dominoes section, whilst draws in both whist and 5s & 3s moved Horndale into pole position in both sections. Cockton Hill are in command in the pool section following their two point victory at West Auckland.
Old Shildon had wins from Alan Hobson, John Collingwood, Alan Bell and Keith Gittens in the dominoes at Eldon Lane to take them to the top. West Auckland matched this result when Michael Townsend, John Roe, Jimmy Singlewood and Ian Bowes beat the visiting Cockton Hill.
In the whist section Horndale drew with the visiting Evenwood when they had wins from John Ripley and George Mills matched by wins from Ronnie Preston and Tommy Agar. There was a similar result in the 5s & 3s where Horndale winners were Davy Hodgson and Chris Musgarve, whilst Paul Bowran and Darren Yeoman levelled for Evenwood.
Eldon Lane had a good home win in the pool section with wins from Ritchie Sumpton, Paul Dines and Stephen Weldon with Darren Blood taking Shildon's lone point. Cockton Hill had pool wins from Colin Britton, Russell Place and Peter Race to beat their hosts at West Auckland, who had Brian om John Beveridge when he won a pool singles and a dominoes singles. The home winners at both pool and dominoes were Gavin Hammell, Adam Orton, Anthony Ward, Lee Mowbray and Steven Todd with the three pool doubles also added.
In the other match, Tow Law Dan's Castle B entertained Tow law Football Club in a much tighter encounter. The Castle took the dominoes at 4-2 with wins from Angela Suddes, John Murray, Anthony Lee and David Murray, whilst Billy Lyle and Charlie McGee scored for the footballers. The home pool points were dominated by the Murray family as father, John and sons, David and Paul all won and were joined by lee Stevenson, whilst the footballers singles points came from Arthur Henderson and Charlie Donaghy. The footballers added two of the doubles with the Castle taking the final one.
CIU League
Crook Belle Vue went down to their first defeat of the season in the darts section when they lost by the odd point to the visiting second placed Cockton Hill in the penultimate match of the season. However they still seem certainties to land the title for they only need one point from their final match.
Crook had singles wins from Paul Knighton, Jeff Sneath and Dave Byrne, whilst the Hill levelled with wins from Robert Douthwaite, Tommy Ward and Chris Kitch to set up the decider, where the visiting Ray Scott beat Peter Wellings.
There were maximums from Colin Barron and Bobby Usher of Crowtrees, Ray Scott of Cockton Hill, Joe Allison of Middlestone Moor, Alan Clarkson of Byers Green, John Davies of Willington, Billy Percival of Newfield and Phil Nixon of Ferryhill.
Cockton Hill only need one point from their final match to clinch the dominoes title, where Crowtrees and Chilton are level fighting for the runners-up spot. Ferryhill have already landed the pool crown, with Cockton Hill and Crook belle Vue level in second place.
