Richmond Under-12s maintained their great start to the season by completing the double over Dales Diamonds.
Richmond went straight at the Dales goal and were one up in the first minute. Josh Slinger hit a shot from outside the penalty area. Richmond went 2-0 up after four minutes through Graeme Love. Richmond applied pressure for the rest of the half but were unable to add to their tally. After 35 minutes Tom Osbourn put a loose ball away from the corner. Two minutes later Gavin Hill won the ball and placed a shot past the keeper. Hill won the ball again and chipped the keeper for his second and then scored his third hat-trick of the seaso. Final score was 6-0 to Richmond man of match was Zak Jackson.
The Under-11s played GCC at home and the away team dominated the first quarter of the match. Richmond then had a break from midfield resulting in Ethan Stamp scoring and this was the score at half time. Richmond came out in the second half and showed more commitment forcing the away team back. David Young added a second goal for Richmond. Final score was 2-0 to Richmond. Euan Kearney was man of match for an excellent performance.
Richmond Under-13s were home to St Francis 2000 B. In a very physical match Richmond fought hard to over power and eventually break down a very well organised St Francis team. In the first half much of the play was very uneven as Richmond found it difficult to get into their stride.
The deadlock was broken midway through the first half when following a good passage of play down the right, Duncan Bottrill scored from close range. The lead was not to last as St Francis came back and scored a deserved equaliser late in the half. What a difference though in the second half as Richmond took firm control of the match, dominating the midfield and restricting St Francis to very few chances. Richmond scored early in the second half when Bottrill secured his second and this was followed soon after by a Ben Holmes goal from inside the six yard box following a series of passes down the touchline. St Francis's play became disjointed and it was no surprise when, in the last few minutes, Ben Whiteside netted the fourth.
The Under-14s carried on their good start to the season with a home win against Nunthorpe YC. The game started off well for Richmond with Gareth Love scoring the first goal within 19 seconds by lobbing the keeper. Richmond were dominating the game and it wasn't long before Sam Pritchard added a second .One of Richmond's defenders was alleged to have pushed an opponent in the box so Nunthorpe were awarded a penalty but Dan Hodgson made a great save. Richmond kept up the pressure for the rest of the half and went in 4-0 up with two further goals from Sam Pritchard and Tom Stanwix. The second half was a much more even affair with both teams missing a number of chances.
The Under-15s were at home to South Park Rangers and lost 5-4. A hat-trick from K Holbrook and a goal from Josh Wooff.
Richmond Under-16s lost 1-0 to New Marske.
