KITCHEN staff from schools across east Cleveland are being praised for their top class learning achievements.
Twenty-two women were presented with certificates for basic IT, literacy and numeracy and confidence building at Hunley Hall Golf Club, Brotton on Wednesday.
Today, 25 more women who have been successful in the pilot training programme will be congratulated by Redcar MP Vera Baird at James Finegan Hall, Eston.
Another 58 kitchen staff are already preparing for the next six-week course, involving two hours of study a week.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's training unit is to extend the programme to the social services department's health and social care staff next year.
