THREE council workers have been singled out for their outstanding contributions.
Angela Lindsay, Caroline Webb and Robbie Stubbs all received the Chairman's Excellence in Performance Awards at a ceremony held at Richmondshire District Council's headquarters, at Richmond's Swale House.
Ms Lindsay joined the information and communications unit in June, but quickly became an invaluable member of the planning team after taking on additional administrative duties.
Meanwhile, her colleague, Ms Webb, has been recognised for her work in information technology support and training.
"I am delighted Angela and Caroline were selected for these awards," said manager Liz Smith. "They both do an excellent job and have received universal praise from their colleagues."
Mr Stubbs, clerk of works in the technical services team, has won praise for his diligence.
"Despite the sheer volume of work and far-flung geography of Richmondshire, Robbie keeps tight control of a number of different projects," said planning boss Patrick Earle.
"We are particularly pleased with the successful completion of the fine office buildings at Hawes, which are now available for rent. Robbie made a huge contribution to this scheme being finished on time and on budget."
