Sunday afternoon saw over 20 junior squash players from all over Durham and Cleveland meet at the Oak Leaf sports complex in Newton Aycliffe to take part in the regular squash grading.
This gives the younger players in the area a chance to play each other in competition and match their skills with other players from different clubs.
It is also an opportunity for the better players to progress into the full County side and play squash at an Inter-County level.
The sessions are organised by Aycliffe player Paul Dowson and County coach Bill West and a fun afternoon was has by all, including the many parents that stayed on to watch. All the players were organised in to separated leagues based on age and standard of play with the winners of each league being promoted into a higher league for the next graded event.
This guarantees plenty of games with different opponents in a safe and friendly environment and all the players had a fantastic time making new friends and playing plenty of games of squash.
