A new farming event has been hailed as a major success, and is due to become a regular feature of the agricultural calendar.
Countryside Live, at the Great Yorkshire Showground over the weekend, was organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
Its chief executive, Nigel Pulling, said: "We have been absolutely delighted.
"We have had strong support from all aspects of the farming community and with the number of general visitors it is clear the show has struck a chord."
He said one of the aims had been to provide a platform for the British farming industry.
"It is vital that we present the sequence from the animal in the field through to the food on our tables," he said.
"With our livestock, the Smithfield meat classes, the cookery theatre and the many food stands, we have been able to do just that."
The event also included the Northern Counties Livestock Show and the Yorkshire Woodfair.
