THE final phase of Darlington Borough Council's £500,000 kerbside recycling scheme starts in a week's time.
A further 15,000 households will be able to take part in the scheme, which aims to collect 7,000 tonnes of recycleable items every year. Collections start next Monday. For details call (01325) 388777.
CHARITY CHALLENGE: An aerobathon in aid of the Breast Cancer Campaign has raised £800. About 25 women from Loraine Pickering's Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs in County Durham took part in the event at Darlington College of Technology on Saturday.
WOMEN MEET: All Saints and Salutation Ladies Fellowship, in Blackwell, Darlington, will meet in the church's Millennium Centre, at 7.30pm tomorrow.
CHURCH SALE: A sale of work will be held at St James the Great Church Hall, Albert Hill, Darlington, on Saturday November 8, at 2pm.
