BUDDING disc jockeys learned how to mix, scratch and blend the latest sounds at a college workshop.
Former Darlington College of Technology student Chris Kay, now professional disc jockey K Delight, paid a visit to his old college to pass on tips to students.
He said: "I have been going around youth centres and colleges teaching kids of all ages, but it did feel strange coming back here."
For five years Mr Kay has had a successful career blending disc jockey work, record production and workshops.
The college's student activities manager, Diane Muckle, said: "It has been great because it is what young people are into and we like to be able to provide what they want and have fun as well."
For Karl Henley, 16, of Catterick, the workshop provided tuition that will help him follow in his father's footsteps.
"My dad is a DJ and I like doing it as a hobby," said Karl who is studying NVQ level one mechanics.
